Visual storytelling of the scope, scale, and impact of encampment “sweeps” in the East Bay

By the Spring of 2026, Maria Toldi & Cole Haddock had been investigating the scope and scale of forced displacement of unhoused residents in Berkeley, Richmond, and Oakland, CA for nearly a year.

With about 6 weeks until publication, I helped the authors translate their work for external audiences and bring it to life on the web. Beginning with the initial wireframe and visual system, I then developed infographics, data visualizations, and formatted the final content.
